BELPER band Ejectorseat are gearing up for a series of club nights.
The band decided to start the nights after they felt there wasn't enough live indie music gigs available in the area.

The nights called 'Derby is Dead' will begin on Friday August 31 at Susumi in Derby when some of the best bands around will perform.

Ejectorseat are Peter Backler on vocals/guitar, Philip Tonge on bass/backing vocals, Barrington Mole on guitar//backing vocals, James Dowse on drums and Luke "The Bear" on synths.

The band burst into the scene in 2006 with their incendiary debut 'Attack! Attack! Attack!', a riotous call to arms that reached number 9 in the itunes alternative chart and placed them firmly on the radar of tastemakers and air guitar brandishers alike.

The Ejectorseat sound takes shape from the bands own huge range of influences – including Blur, Led Zeppelin, NIN, Bloc Party, Muse, The Clash and Metallica, - but is even more than just the sum of its parts.

Pete's lyrics are based on, "how equally irritating and fascinating human beings and their relationships with each other are", and verve between the blisteringly self-assured and the vulnerable without breaking stride.

'Derby is Dead' will include music from Censored, Rosalita, Ejectorseat and The Strand Arcade, as well as some guest DJ's to round the night off in an indie extravaganza.
