Bid to build more homes in Ironville
A developer has applied to increase the number of houses it can build in Ironville from 38 to 59.
In March 2007, Codnor Park 5PT won consent for a mix of 38 two, three and four bedroom houses with access works and highway improvements at Parkside Close, Codnor Park.
This earlier approval was subject to a Section 106 agreement of eight affordable homes, a £5,000 contribution for roadworks and £57,533 for local schools.
The new application is for 59 two and three bedroom houses and bungalows. The 3.77 acre site is rough grassland with derelict workshop buldings from a former gas works.
A decision is expected on May 27 under Amber Valley council’s delegated powers.
