Bin collection delays

Delays to bin collections in Amber Valley caused by snow and ice will be rectified over the coming days, the council has promised.

Amber Valley Borough Council (AVBC) said that if crews weren’t able to collect on residents’ normal collection days then they would return after a couple of days to attempt to collect again.

If they are unable to collect again, due to snow or ice then they would collect extra waste on their next collection day.

The statement was made after one reader phoned The News from Horsley Woodhouse to say he was told by AVBC that bin collections have been delayed by two weeks.
