Charity walk for Park Party
Alfreton Party in the Park is organising an eight-mile sponsored walk on Sunday April 21.
Walkers can raise money solely for this year’s party in the park or go 50/50 and raise money for their own causes, or make a donation of £5 to take part in the walk. The walk begins at 11am from Wetherspoons in Alfreton and ends up at the Amber Hotel where there will be a barbecue and live music from accoustic duo Double Cross.
Last year’s event on Sunday September 2 2012 had to be cancelled for safety reasons due to waterlogged ground on the park. Fundraising for this year’s event is already underway.
