Fight for Outseats Farm

Campaigners against plans to build 500 new homes at Outseats Farm in Alfreton have called for residents to turn out in force when the application comes before Amber Valley Borough Council.

Alfreton Support Our Struggle organiser Alan Stanbrook urged people to attend the planning committee meeting on Wednesday February 27 at 7pm in the council chamber of Ripley Town Hall.

He said: “We have all worked very hard to get this far. Alfreton Town Council have put a lot of time and money into it. Money that the protest group didn’t have. Support is now needed from you. Just being there says to the committee how much you care. For most of those doing a presentation, this will be a first and a daunting task. So we need all the support we can get.”

He advised people to get there early and added: “We have all got our own reasons why we need to have this application stopped. However on Wednesday the emphasis is on traffic and infrastructure.”
