Memory Lane: Snow in Ripley
Off to the shops in this picture is a member of the public after a downpour of snow.
The picture was taken in Ripley in the 1980s, but we don’t know on which street - perhaps the eagle-eyed among you will be able to tell us? We are hoping someone will recognise themselves as the person in the picture too.
It looks like going anywhere by car was certainly a no, no at the time after at least four inches of snow, judging by the amount on the cars and walls.
