BELPER-based singing group the Dalesmen Male Voice Choir is to accompany a renowned American soprano in a charity concert at the end of the month.
Deborah Berioli will travel to the area to perform at Derby Cathedral in a concert organised by her late mother-in-law, Janet Hammond, who planned it to raise money for the Nightingale Macmillan Unit of the Royal Derby Hospital.
The Dalesmen, who rehearse weekly at Belper's Whitemoor Centre, will join her in three songs.
All money raised will be split between the Macmillan unit and to a project to supply clean water to schools in Gujaret.
The concert will take place at the Iron Gate cathedral on Saturday, January 30, at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £12 for adults and £5 for children.
They are available from the Cathedral Coffee Shop, on Iron Gate, on the door on the night, or by calling 01773 599028.
