Big screen yet again for Chatsworth
The Devonshire family of Chatsworth has been brought to life on the big screen in a film set to be released in September.
Keira Knightley stars as Duchess Georgiana who married into the family from the Spencer family in the 18th Century.
The duchess, renowned for her wild ways, was a complusive gambler who shared her husband with her best friend.
She was also actively involved in the politics of the day which was enough to scandalise the socialites of the day regardless of her other activities.
The house plans to hold an exhibition about the Duchess and her life in August and several items will be made part of the home's permanent exhibition from Spring 2009, including a lock of her hair and a letter to her six year old son written in her own blood.
