The Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site is gearing up to offer visitors an insight into the history of Belper and Derbyshire.
The mills have organised nine days of, mostly free, activities around the town to entice people to take an interest in their local area.

Discovery Days will run from Saturday, October 25, until, Sunday, November 2, with events including organised walks, hertitage talks, and activities to make the most of the area.

The festival kicks off with a selection of activities focused on the area, including a guided walk in Milford, and a walk from Duffield to Belper.

Other events include nightly heritage talks, and childrens activities, which will take place throughout the week.

For more information about events in the festival, go to www.derwentvalleymills.org.
