The hugely popular Irish stand-up and host of BBC 2's Mock the Week, Dara O Briain, is hitting the road with a brand new stand-up show for 2008.
Renowned for his topical humour, story-telling and relentless delivery this show brings together hilarious anecdotes and top-class audience banter. Dates will include Derby, Nottingham and Buxton.

A spokesman said among other things Dara will be taking joy in the death of a magician, discovering a naked man in his hotel room and protesting the on-going war on bacteria.

The show has already been a huge hit in Dublin where he has sold out a record 20 nights.

On top of his growing reputation around the world as a leading comedian, Dara has also been busy with television projects.

As well as the hugely popular Mock the Week, he also appeared at Christmas in the BBC Two special Three Men in Another Boat, which featured Griff Rhys Jones and Rory McGrath and received ratings of 4 million viewers.

He also appeared in December hosting Live at the Apollo on BBC One and later that month BBC Two transmitted his own one-man show Dara O Briain Live at the Theatre Royal.

He will be at Buxton Opera House on April 30, Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on May 14 and Derby Assembly Rooms on May 27.
