Quad Holocaust event a sell-out

THE East Midlands Regional Event for National Holocaust Memorial Day 2010 at Quad on January 27 at 7.45pm, is now fully booked.
The event features an illustrated talk by Auschwitz survivor Dr Kitty Hart-Moxon, including excerpts from her film Return To Auschwitz followed by an audience Q and A session.

The event marks the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, an
d Derby was selected by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust to stage the East Midlands regional event for this significant anniversary.

There are still tickets available for a screening of Into The Arms Of Strangers: Stories Of The Kindertransport (PG) at the Derby-based arts centre on January 29 at 9am.

Into The Arms Of Strangers: Stories Of The Kindertransport (PG) is an Oscar-winning documentary narrated by Dame Judi Dench.

It tells the story of the extraordinary rescue operation that brought 10,000 children from German-held lands to Great Britain in the months prior to World War II.

This incredibly moving film will be followed by a talk by a former member of the Kindertransport, Steven Mendelsson, about his experiences. Tickets are free, but booking is essential through the box office.
