Madam,

Photograph Appeal!
The inspiration that resulted in the restoring of Beaurepair Gardens at Bridge Foot, Belper, was through an Edwardian photograph being brought to the camera shop, for copying by a customer, five years ago.
The picture depicted a man who was obviously a patient at the Belper Cottage Hospital, sitting in a bath chair with a very formal Edwardian nurse standing by him.

The photograph was taken in about 1900 in what is now Beaurepair Gardens but at that time belonged to the hospital.

The building can still be seen. It is now a private dwelling.

In order to complete an album of photographs that one day will be of historic interest I am hoping to obtain a copy of the photograph of the man and his nurse.

I appeal to the owner of the original photo to contact me at the Camera Shop, or telephone 01773 823226 or 826433.
