I personally don't know of any memorial tribute that has contributed to further collisions at the spot where they are placed, and we feel very strongly that the memorial tribute to our son Mark at Cromford, opposite the garage on the A6 in the form o
f a A4 "Remember Me" sign, serves as a reminder to other road users that a tragedy has happened at that spot.
I hasten to add that had DCC given careful and proper consideration to the danger the petrol station posed in the first instance, when passing the plans allowing vehicles to exit from both ends, our son Mark would still be alive.
It's cost the death of our son to see their mistakes and they have since altered the garage entry and exit to a one-way system.
Why does there have to be a death before anything gets done?
