Crank up the volume again

AFTER an acoustic January at The Flowerpot in Derby, the popular venue is ready to crank up the volume again on Friday, February 3, for a visit by The Doors Alive.

The British tribute band provide an entertaining and exciting recreation of the music of legendary 1960s rock gods The Doors.

The band will recreate the sound, look, presence and magic of a real 1960s Doors concert, transporting the audience back to a time when The Doors produced such classic, era-defining hits as Light My Fire, When The Music’s Over, Riders On The Storm, The End and many more.

Southern Rock fans are in for a treat at the King Street venue on Saturday, February 4, when Skinny Molly do their thing.

Formed in 2004 by former Lynyrd Skynyrd member Mike Estes and ex-Molly Hatchet stalwart Dave Hlubek, what was originally as a one-off project has flourished, over the course of the past eight years, into one of the busiest bands on the live scene, with a devoted group of fans in many different countries.

Finally, on Wednesday, February 7, the free acoustic session, in the bar from 9pm, is to be performed by Clare Free.

Doors open at 8pm for the other two gigs and admission is £10 for each concert. Call RAW Promotions on 01332 834438 for more ticket details.
