Daleks pop in for NPO concert
NOTTINGHAM Philharmonic Orchestra will present Best Of British: A New Year Family Concert, on Saturday, January 28, at 7pm, in the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham.
The orchestra is delighted, in this Olympic year, to have Hazel Irvine from the BBC’s sport team, to be the guide to the evening’s music.
The programme has classic favourites including Elgar’s Nimrod and Land of Hope and Glory, James Bond themes, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and musical features such as My Fair Lady, Brush Up Your
Shakespeare from Kiss Me Kate and songs by Gilbert and Sullivan.
NPO will also be playing the theme music from Doctor Who and there will be Daleks in attendance too.
