Belper Market Place is captured just before the Great War, almost 100 years ago to the day, with this shot taken in June 1913.
Demolition work on High Pavement is in full flow in the foreground, while a few stalls are dotted along King Street in what looks like an early morning shot.
Around this time East Mill was also drawing near completion and the Titanic disaster had shook the world only one year before.
