Theatre has plans for a horrible hit

Derby Theatre has only just finished staging one successful Christmas show but it is already in a position to announce details of the 2013 offering.

The world premiere production of Horrible Histories offshoot Horrible Christmas, by best-selling children’s author Terry Deary, can be seen there from December 6 2013-January 11 2014.

Terry Deary has written this stage version especially for Derby Theatre and Birmingham Stage Company, who will be making a welcome return to co-produce and present this brand new, never-before-seen fun and festive ‘horrible’ Christmas show.

Derby Theatre and Birmingham Stage Company recently teamed up for Charlotte’s Web.

Terry Deary’s Horrible Histories series is still popular thanks to a BBC television series based on the books. There are around 60 ‘Horrible’ titles with total sales of 25 million.

Tickets for Horrible Christmas are £9-£22 (group and school rates available, family tickets from £36 to £60).
