WE have turned up some interesting pictures this week. We have football teams, youngsters who we think have taken part in sporting success, and school events.

We took a call this week from Julie Harrison about a picture we featured in our August 31 edition entitled ‘Cobs sell for 8p!’. She says the young boy in the picture was a friend of hers as a child. He was Anthony Harold, who sadly died in 2006 aged 32 having suffered from a growth disorder. He was a chef and even knew TV cook Delia Smith.

Julie, of Bradwell Way, Belper, attended St John’s Primary School in the town with Anthony although he was younger.

We love to see your pictures and hear your memories call us on 01773 514153 or email us at editor@belpernews.co.uk.
