A TUNEFUL group of students from Belper School were a ‘voice in a million’ alongside rock legend Rick Wakeman at London’s O2 Arena.
The youngsters joined more than 7,500 students at the ‘Voice in a Million’ event, which is arranged by the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF), and of which Wakeman was part of.
The sell-out show helps to raise awareness of the 4,000 children in the UK who are currently waiting for adoption.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “The effect was extraordinary — very moving and accomplished. It was enhanced by all participants wearing white tee-shirts, and the hundreds of glow-sticks that created a magical effect when the lights were dimmed.”
