FUN games and a fancy dress contest went towards raising £500 for the 3-5 Pre-School on Kilbourne Road, Belper through a summer barbecue held at the weekend.
The successful event took place at The Greyhound on Whitemoor Lane, with other activities including a bouncy castle, children's tattoos, face painting and a penalty shoot-out.

The day also marked the retirement of pre-school manager Jill Knightingale after more than 20 years.

Helen Collins from the pre-school said: "We had a good turnout and raised money which will go towards new equipment for the pre-school."
