Hard work has paid off for youngsters at a Belper drama group.
Forty-five budding actors, who are aged between six and 12 years old, have earned LAMDA awards in speaking in verse and prose through the Learning Through Drama group.

LAMDA is the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

The youngsters stayed behind for the Learning Through Drama after school club to practice reciting passages which they had to read in the exams in July.

Group leader Hettie Beetham said: "We got a 100 per cent pass rate, which is brilliant. They all worked really hard. "

Today's Vote

What do you think of the government's plans to axe free swimming for children and elderly people?
I think it's ridiculous
It's fair enough if it didn't have the uptake they expected.
I don't care. It doesn't affect me.
