Chief super goes back on the beat

THE man in charge of policing in the Amber Valley and Erewash area has gone back on the beat to get closer to the local community.
Chief Superintendent Mike Usherwood joined PC Richard Howiss of the Ripley Town Safer Neighbourhood Team to patrol the local area and find out more about the issues faced in the community.

The pair visited Langley Mill, Shipley, Heanor, Ripley, Codnor and the surrounding villages to discuss local policing.

Chief Superintendent Usherwood added: "I've enjoyed being back out on patrol and meeting people within the Ripley neighbourhood.
