Children from Treetops Nursery in Duffield brightened up the day for residents at Milford Care Home when they visited them with plants they had potted.
As part of national flower day all the children at the nursery planted flowers to take home.

The pre-school children then potted plants into larger tubs and took them to the care home.

Dawn Crofts, deputy manager of the King Street nursery, said: "This was the first time the children had taken part in something like this.

"They really enjoyed visiting the residents so I think it is something we are going to do again."
