The age old rivalry between dogs and cats will be called off in September as one mutt will be helping to raise money for a cats' charity.
Seven-year-old Tyson, a German pointer, will join his owner Ray Constable when he runs the Berlin Marathon to raise money for The Cats Protection League, in Draycott and Treetops Hospice, in Dalbury Lees.

He chose the two charities because he wanted to support people and animals with the money they raise.

Ray said Tyson does not seem to mind running to support cats.

Ray said: "He loves cats. We've had a lot of cats over the years. We had up to seven in the house at one point.

"He used to eat ice cream with them and they loved to sleep on his back. He's 48kg of muscle but he's just a big girl's blouse really."
