A Duffield art group has put brush to canvas for the sake of a local charity.
Amber Painting Group held an exhibition of members' work, at Arkwright's Mill in Cromford, to raise money for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

A raffle at the week-long exhibition, and a demonstration by local artist Roger Meakin, at Trinity Methodist Church, raised £475.

A cheque for the total was presented to Karl Bexton, a paramedic from the Air Ambulance service on Friday, June 27.

Doreen Scullion, secretary of the group, said: "It's a very worthy cause and a few of us have known different people who have benefited from it."
