PEOPLE risk being fined if they do not clean up after their dogs.
Leader of Belper Town Council Cllr John Nelson, said he was sick of pet owners letting their dogs mess without cleaning it up at two main spots in the town.

He said: "There is a problem with dog mess at the grounds of St John's Chapel and the memorial gardens.

"We will prosecute anyone who is found to be letting their dog foul."
A on-the-spot fines of £50 can be issued to pet owners.

About time. I am sick of seeing dog mess on the pavements. Why do owners think this is acceptable, its disgraceful. Its all well and good this being reported however has anyone every been fined? how are foulers going to be caught unless it happens in front of a copper?

If i see anyone do it I will pick the dog egg up in a plastic bag and rub it in the owners face, its the only fair punishment.

Don't threaten people with fines, implement them!

Today's Vote

What do you think of the government's plans to axe free swimming for children and elderly people?
I think it's ridiculous
It's fair enough if it didn't have the uptake they expected.
I don't care. It doesn't affect me.
