A sausage designed by Croot's Farm Shop in Duffield has been given a seal of approval by the Guild of Fine Foods for the second year in a row.
The popular black pudding sausage earned a one gold star award in the recently held Great Taste Awards which are run by the guild - the same grading the product received last year.

The banger was one of 1026 products to receive the rating, which means the food is perfect quality.

The sausages went through a rigorous testing procedure over a period of two months.

A varied panel of 350 judges 'blind tasted' the food, as well as testing and discussing entries.

There were more than 6,000 entries in total.

Croot's was one of only a handful of winners in the East Midlands area.
