Parents and teachers in Belper are being asked to nominate schools to join one of the UK's largest carbon offset campaigns helping to plant 50,000 trees.
Michael Handley from Graphic Results in Belper is leading the campaign and need schools to register their interest online.

Printing.com based at Graphic Results has committed to plant a tree for every eight orders it receives.

The company needs to hear from local schools who want to become one of the tree planting sites and possibly receive a visit from the campaign's figurehead, professor David Bellamy.

Chosen schools will receive free trees from Tree Appeal as well as educational materials to help children learn about how the trees they plant will benefit the local environment.

Michael Handley said: "We want to encourage local schools to make the most of their grounds by planting trees."

The company will be selecting schools based on the number of nominations it receives through its website.

Last year customers in Belper helped the company meet their target of planting of 25,000 trees. Following this success they are now aiming to plant 50,000 trees.
