Scouts, Cubs and Beavers and Guides flooded the streets of Belper to take part in the town's annual St George's Day parade at the weekend.
The sun shone down as more than 650 youngsters took part in services at St Peter's Church, on Chesterfield Road, and the Central Methodist Church, on Chapel Street, before joining together to parade down King Street and Bridge Street to Derwent Street.

Both church services, which were split by age. were organised by the 1st Holbrook Scouts on the theme of St George.

Scores of spectators watched the parade, which took place on the nearest Sunday to St George's Day on April 23. They were joined by Belper mayor Cllr Norman Bull and deputy mayor Cllr John Nelson, as well as Amber Valley mayor Cllr Peter Makin, and deputy mayor Cllr Alan Cox.

District Commissioner Bob Swain said: "It was a marvellous sight to see so many people proudly representing their major youth organisations."
