BUDDING tennis stars have been taking advantage of free coaching sessions in Belper in their bid to become the next Andy Murray.
More than 30 youngsters attended the coaching event at Belper Meadows.

Eileen Maddison, chairman of Belper Meadows Tennis Club, said: "It was tremendous to see so many children enjoying themselves.

Tennis can be quite a challenging game, but they all set about it so enthusiastically. A good time was had by all."

The session consisted of a mixture of drills, practical exercises and games, all under the expert guidance of the Belper Meadows coaching team of Jason White, Shaun Watson and Gavin Cox.

The event was so successful that the club hopes to run similar events in future.
