Belper Toy Library has celebrated receiving a £6,500 Local Funding Network grant with a special event, including a magician and face painting.
The money was used to promote the library and to buy a new computer.

Alison Dadley-Webb, former chairman of the toy library committee, said: "We celebrated the fact that we got the funding and wanted to show everyone what we have done with it.

"We have about 200 members but want to reach out to schools and show the community what is out there for them to use."

The day also saw £150 raised from a raffle and the sale of cakes.

The toy library are also getting involved with a new children's centre set to open in the town next month and are currently looking for committee members and volunteers.
