Belper's Ritz has been named one of the country's top cinemas.
The Guardian newspaper named the Ritz, on King Street, as one of the top ten independent cinemas in the country.

The national newspaper's respected weekly The Guide publication selected the 99-seat cinema as part of an article hailing the revival of small independent cinemas.

Ritz Co-owner Amanda Mundin described a visit to the Ritz as 'a nice old-fashioned cinema experience.'

The cinema shows a mixture of classical, independent and mainstream films.
