A plate of smiley bacon and eggs was the key to success for Belper woman Emma Rushin.
The Mill View resident dreamed up a new flavour of crisps after glancing at her daughter's favourite tea-time meal and it's earned her £50,000.

Emma entered her 'builder's breakfast' crisps in the Walkers 'Do us a flavour' competition, which invited people to invent an original flavour for the brand.

She said: ""Tensions were high especially towards the end of campaigning - I really had no idea what way the public vote would go.

"I'm so proud to have my flavour crisps continue to be on sale across the UK and Ireland. It'll be fun to see people buying them with their lunch or snacking on them on their way home from work.

She added: "I am ever so grateful for the public's support and all their votes. It's wonderful to know so many people love Builder's Breakfast too."

The mum-of-two combined bacon, eggs, beans, buttered toast, sausages and tomato to make her flavour, in a bid to create the perfect English breakfast.

Her idea gained 232,336 votes, beating off competition from six other flavours including cajun squirrel and chilli and chocolate.

She has won £50,000 and one per cent of future sales of her flavour.
