THE new look Belper News is set to hit the news stands next week.
Your local paper is getting an ultra-modern make-over from Wednesday, May 30, so be sure to look out for the sleek new design at your newsagents and supermarkets.
Despite a change in image, The News will still be the first place to come to for all your local news and sport. Old favourites like as Memory Lane and Rescue Me will all still be there.
And your Neighbourhood News reports will be more important than ever – so if you are part of a church, group, or organisation, keep sending us the details of your local events and club meetings to firstname.lastname@example.org or via Facebook at Belper News.
Editor Julie Crouch said: “Our new look paper is more than just a new image – we are placing the reader right at the heart of what we do.
“We will be continuing to break stories on our website at www.belpernews.co.uk, as well as using Facebook and Twitter. Then each week the newspaper will be an in depth analysis of the week’s events, along with more news and features. We want you to get involved in local stories and issues through our website, Facebook, Twitter and, of course, through our letters page.
“There will be plenty of space for your comments and views in the new look News – so get involved in what is happening in your area!”
The News will also be the first port of call for all your local sports news and teams information.
Sports editor Kev Miles said: “We hope to give you more in-depth analysis, top features and more insight into your local clubs – and the people who make them tick. If you are involved in a sport or club we don’t cover then get in touch at email@example.com”
The new look News will also include a brand new entertainments section, which is called The Guide, and will give you the low-down on all that is happening in the area. We will also be inviting readers to submit entries to our Picture of the Week feature and much, much more.
Also make sure you come and meet the News team at Morrisons in Belper, on Wednesday, May 30 from 10am to 3pm, to tell us about your stories and events.
