A GENEROUS kickboxing group from Belper has helped raise more than £1,000 for the Huntington’s Disease Association.
Amber Valley Kickboxing, which runs classes at Belper Leisure Centre, clubbed together £1,165 at its latest inter-club tournament.
The charity was chosen after one of the club’s members lost his mother to the disease.
Eight clubs from across the association came together to support the event and competed in two styles of kickboxing.
In addition to the fights, the club also held a raffle which had more than 40 prizes donated by local businesses and club members.
Instructor Neil Fletcher said “I’m so proud of everyone who took part and supported this event - spectators, businesses and competitors.”
