A CENTRE in Derby has appealed to cat-lovers in Belper to adopt a feline.
The appeal has been launched in the town because less people than ever are wanting to adopt older moggies from Cats Protection’s adoption centre in Derby.
The charity says that its unwanted older cats aged 12 years and above - 65 years and over in human terms - now wait an average of 96 days before being adopted. This is well above the charity’s average adoption rate of 40 days.
To adopt an older cat or to make a donation towards their care, call the centre on 01332 824 950 or log onto www.derby.cats.org.uk.
