VISITORS to the farmers’ market in Belper this month will see some of the items seized from criminals in the past year.
A car and proceeds-of-crime cash will be on display at the market on Saturday, November 12.
It is part of Operation Rocky, which is a month-long Derbyshire Police campaign set up to tackle those involved in serious acquisitive crime, such as burglary and car crime.
Chf Insp Graham McLaughlin, who is leading the operation, said: “Criminals enjoying a lifestyle of expensive cars, large houses, designer labels and the latest gadgets are at the centre of Operation Rocky.
“It will hit back at crime and criminals, and reward active communities.”
