Antique watches are stolen in Denby raid

A box containing around 35 antique pocket watches was taken from a home in Denby during a bank holiday Monday raid.

The Derby Road home was broken into via a patio door, sometime between 5.30pm and 9pm on August 26, and the items were taken from inside.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the raid to come forward by calling the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

People are also being urged to report any large haul of antique pocket watches they see for sale at pawn shops and car boot sales.
