A rugby match with a difference is to be played at Amber Valley Rugby Club on on Saturday, August 3, when the men’s team takes on a side made up of the players’ wives and girlfriends.
The game at the Somercotes Hill ground is in aid of the Derbyshire Air Ambulance and will be held on the same day as the family fun day with kick-off at around 1.30pm. There will be a £2 match tax charge to play.
This is the fourth charity match at the club, with earlier contests raising money for Help for Heroes and the British Heart Foundation. Club secretary Neena Khulpateea said: “The men have to be dressed in aprons and oven gloves or fines will be issued!”
