CHURCHGOERS enjoyed a fun day of fundraising at an autumnal village bazaar.
Heage Methodist Church on Parkside played host to an array of raffles, crafts and foods.
And the event was hailed a success because it raised a smart £450 for the church’s funds in the process.
Church members are pictured here with one of the day’s most popular stalls — where old stuffed toys were raffled for just a pound a go.
Church steward, Gwen Mitchell, 83, said around 100 people turned out on the day.
Gwen said: “I had a wonderful day.
“I always enjoy it, but this was the best yet.”
The Methodist church is due to hold its yearly Christingle on Sunday, December 11.
It is also inviting villagers to join in carol singing around Heage from 7pm on Friday, December 16.
