Belper charity shop volunteers recognised by MP

The MP for Mid-Derbyshire Pauline Latham, second right, pictured during her visit to the local air ambulance service charity shop in King Street, Belper, on Saturday to thank volunteers for their hard work during National Volunteers Week.

She was welcomed to the shop by manager, Julie Wells, third right, and volunteers new and old.

The local Air Ambulance receives no government funding and relies on the hard work of volunteers to keep it flying.

Each lifesaving mission the helicopter flies costs £1,700.
