it is business as usual at the Focus DIY store in Belper – despite the firm calling in the administrators.
Twenty-two members of staff are employed at the store, which is off Chapel Street.
A spokeswoman for administrator Ernst and Young said: “The joint administrators of Focus DIY are continuing to trade all stores and it is very much business as usual. Focus’s strong seasonal product offerings are being replenished and the majority of suppliers continue to show their support for continued trading.”
The Belper store is among 175 Focus stores nationwide affected.
Administrator Simon Allport said: “We have received a fantastic level of interest in the business and will continue to seek offers for the sale of the business.”
Ernst and Young revealed it has managed to sell 31 of the affected stores but would not say which ones or if any sale would secure jobs.
