Following on from last year’s success Belper Open Gardens is back and will allow more people a chance to see normally lucious lawns and pretty plants.
The weekend long event will run from Saturday, June 25 to Sunday 26 from 11am to 4pm on both days.
Organiser Kathy Fairweather said: “More than 500 visitors from all over UK came to visit our gardens last year.”
Visitors follow a trail of more than 20 open gardens, giving a unique opportunity to see the hidden garden gems of historic and beautiful Belper.
Kathy said: “We are town proud to have won Best Large Town at the Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom National Awards for 2012.
“Enjoy the great range of gardens with a drink, home baked cake and/or a light lunch whilst listening to local entertainment.
“Some of the gardens will be selling a variety of home grown plants too.”
She added: “Meander through the historic streets of Belper and enjoy a variety of private gardens and public parks.”
Entry fee £3 per person and accompanied children are free.
Tickets can be purchased from Fresh Basil Eatery, Strutt St Belper.
