Two close friends are on cue to raise thousands for charity with a 24-hour snooker marathon.
Derek Shepley and Stewart Cosgriff plan to play snooker non-stop at Jaxx Q Club in Belper to support Cancer Research UK.
The pair will begin the ‘snookerthon’ at 12pm on Saturday June 13, finishing 24 hours later.
Derek, whose wife Rachel is currently receiving treatment for breast cancer, said: “We want to do our bit to raise money for this valuable preventative cancer charity.”
The pair have so far raised over £2,300 towards their £3,000 target. To make a donation, visit www.justgiving.com/Rachel-Shepley.
