THE owners of a mountain bike and a selection of power tools are being sought by police.
Officers want to trace them so they can give them the items back.
The bike and the tools are thought to have been stolen from the Belper area over the last few months.
DC Tom Wagg, from Amber Valley CID, said the items should be recognisable.
He said: “The mountain bike is particularly distinctive and I would encourage anyone who thinks it may be theirs to contact us.
“There is also a chain-saw and two strimmers, which we are trying to trace the owners of.
“If a member of the public has had any items, such as the ones mentioned, stolen, we would like them to contact us and we can verify that they are the owners.
“We will then arrange for the property to be returned to them.”
Anyone who thinks that the police may have a piece of property belonging to them is asked to contact DC Tom Wagg.
He can be contacted at Alfreton police station using the non-emergency number 101.
