Bus shelter lights to save £117,995

Nearly 400 bus shelters will be fitted with state-of-the-art LED lighting which will save money and reduce energy bills and carbon emissions. Derbyshire County Council is funding the £75,000 scheme through its carbon reduction initiatives fund. The LED technology is expected to save the council £117,995 over five years and reduce its carbon footprint by 50 tonnes of CO2 each year.
