Local businesses can learn more about the Belper Neighbourhood Plan and have their say during a drop-in session next week.
The event will be held on Tuesday July 12 at No.28 Community Hall, on the Market Place, Belper, between 11.30am and 6.30pm.
Businesses of all types and sizes which are based in the Belper parish area are welcome to attend - from sole traders, self-employed and those working from home, to small and medium-sized businesses and large companies.
Representatives will be able to learn more about the neighbourhood plan, talk to the team behind it, hear what other firms are saying and find out what business assistance is available. They will also be able to pick up a questionnaire tailored specifically for businesses.
A spokesperson for the team behind the neighbourhood plan said: “The information from the questionnaires will give us an accurate picture for the foreseeable future of business specific to our locality.
“We will then be able to accurately assess the needs of firms in the area and focus on what improvements might be of assistance. “We will also be able to understand, and protect if possible, what already works well for local enterprise. The better the information, the better the plan.”
The closing date for business questionnaires to be submitted is August 15. They can be completed and handed in on the day of the drop-in session, or taken away and returned by the deadline. Respondents wishing to remain anonymous must state so when returning the questionnaire.
