A FORUM for private landlords to hear about best practice is to be hosted by Amber Valley Borough Council.
The event is a chance for landlords to get together to discuss issues such as housing benefit, property standards and community safety. The aim of the event is to encourage landlords to keep up to date with legislation and good practice and to drive up standards for tenants throughout the borough.
The event will take place at 5.30pm at the Council Chamber at Ripley Town Hall on March 15.
Housing officer Elke Burden said: “The forum is aimed at people who are currently letting a property or looking to let property to help them to avoid the pitfalls that many landlords fall into and to discuss some of the issues facing landlords today and general best practice about being a good landlord.”
Anyone interested should call 01773 841336. Refreshments will be available from 5pm.
