Bowmer booms

HEAGE construction firm Bowmer and Kirkland has enjoyed a 32 per cent rise in profits to £44.3 million – at a time when poor results from the building industry have been blamed for the double-dip recession.

The group, cited financial stability and a long-term investment strategy as the main reasons behind its success.

Projects carried out by the company in the last 12 months include the National Football Centre, an E.on office development and a huge warehouse for internet grocer Ocado.
