A Denby farm shop is to mark a successful first year in business with a weekend of in-store fun and a new pie to celebrate in gourmet style.

The Walter Smith Farm Shop at Denby Pottery Village is reaches the anniversary of its opening March 10-12, and is inviting customers to join in the celebrations.

Managing director Robert Jones said: “We are delighted that the farm shop has been so well received and would like to thank all our loyal customers.”

Over the three days there will be a barbecue, sausage making and pie making demonstrations, and tasting sessions from the shop’s most popular suppliers including cheeses, chutneys, cakes, jams, oils, wines and beers.

To coincide with the event, Walter Smith will be launching the Wyton Wonder Pie, containing chicken, smoked gammon, cheese and parsley sauce—winner of Best Hot Pie at the Butchers Q Guild Smithfield Awards 2017.

Robert added: “We are excited to see how the Wyton Wonder Pie is received and hope it proves as popular as our award winning sausages and champion pork pies.”

Visitors to the shop can also enter a competition to win a £150 gift hamper, while children can compete for a plate painting prize.
